I lost my best friend yesterday. He was a wonderful man - loving, sweet, the most generous, honest, sincere and amazing person. He was always there for you. No matter what. They truly broke the mold after him.

Square root
Do you know what’s a useless nugget of knowledge - how to calculate the square root of a number.
Apparently, they’re teaching the estimation method in schools now (e.g., hey, what’s the square root of 83…. well, it’s a little more than 9).
Why did we learn how to do this? How DO you DO this? I’ve clearly retained nothing and am lucky I can still do long...
